A practice shaped by the people within it
Soundview was not created around the idea that clinicians should simply carry a caseload while the organization operates around them.
The quality of care clients receive is inseparable from the conditions in which providers work. Clear systems, responsive administration, meaningful consultation, and respectful professional relationships all matter.
We are still growing, which means joining Soundview includes an opportunity to help shape what the practice becomes. We value people who bring ideas, communicate directly, participate in shared problem-solving, and care about building something sustainable together
What providers can expect
Administrative support
Our administrative team supports scheduling, client registration, benefit verification, payment processing, referrals, credentialing coordination, and other day-to-day practice needs so providers can remain focused on clinical care.
An established practice infrastructure
Soundview provides furnished office space, an electronic health record, billing support, credentialing coordination, referral development, and access to shared practice resources.
Clinical connection
Providers have opportunities for consultation, collaboration, and coordinated care within a multidisciplinary team. We value professional independence without professional isolation.
Thoughtful provider matching
We work to connect clients with providers based on clinical needs, insurance coverage, scheduling, areas of expertise, and interpersonal fit—not simply the next open appointment.
A voice in the practice
Soundview is intentionally collaborative. Providers are encouraged to help identify gaps, improve systems, develop services, and contribute to the direction of the organization.
Sustainable growth
We want providers to develop caseloads that are professionally and financially sustainable while remaining compatible with good clinical care and life outside work.
Who may be a good fit
We are interested in professionals who:
Practice ethically and communicate directly
Provide affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care
Respect client autonomy and informed choice
Value documentation, coordination, and reliable follow-through
Welcome consultation and constructive feedback
Want both independence and meaningful professional connection
Take responsibility for their role within a shared system
Are interested in contributing to a developing multidisciplinary practice
We do not expect providers to share identical clinical approaches. Different perspectives strengthen the team when they are accompanied by curiosity, humility, and mutual respect.
Clinical opportunities
Depending on current practice needs, Soundview may consider:
Independently licensed mental health counselors
Licensed clinical social workers
Marriage and family therapists
Associate-level clinicians
Psychiatric and medical providers
Naturopathic physicians
Substance-use professionals
Other professionals whose services complement our integrated model
We are especially interested in providers whose experience expands the care currently available to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in our community.
Clinical supervision and graduate training
Soundview is committed to supporting developing clinicians through structured supervision, practical training, and meaningful clinical experience.
Opportunities may be available for:
Graduate student interns
Practicum students
Associate-level clinicians working toward independent licensure
Experienced clinicians interested in supervision or mentorship
Our developing supervision program includes support in areas such as:
Clinical documentation
Assessment and treatment planning
Risk recognition and response
Ethical and legal responsibilities
Clinical consultation and case conceptualization
Professional communication
Practice operations and systems of care
Development of a sustainable professional identity
Placement availability depends on supervisory capacity, program requirements, scheduling, and Soundview’s ability to provide an appropriate learning experience.
Independent practice within a connected team
Many Soundview clinicians work as independent contractors. Providers maintain responsibility for their clinical judgment and professional practice while working within the shared standards, systems, and responsibilities necessary for coordinated care.
The contractor relationship, compensation structure, expected availability, administrative support, and other terms are discussed clearly during the interview process. We want prospective providers to understand how the practice operates before deciding whether Soundview is the right fit.
Our values in practice
Words such as collaborative, affirming, and ethical only matter when they influence what we actually do.
At Soundview, these values show up in how we communicate, respond to concerns, document care, coordinate across providers, receive feedback, and follow through on responsibilities. They also shape how we approach identity, neurodivergence, disability, recovery, trauma, and the many different ways people experience the world.
We are not looking for perfection. We are looking for honesty, accountability, curiosity, and a willingness to participate in the ongoing work of building a healthy practice.
The application process
1. Introduce yourself
Send us your résumé or CV along with a brief introduction describing your professional background, areas of interest, availability, and what you are looking for in a practice.
2. Meet with us
An initial conversation allows us to learn about you and gives you an opportunity to ask direct questions about Soundview, the role, compensation, expectations, and practice culture.
3. Explore mutual fit
If there appears to be a potential fit, we will continue the conversation and discuss the specific opportunity in greater detail. We approach recruitment as a mutual decision—not simply an evaluation of the applicant.
